Enhanced Strategies for Climate-Proofed and Environmentally Sound Agricultural Production (C-PESAP) in China’s Yellow River Basin is one of 16 components of the UN-China Climate Change Partnership Framework joint programme funded by the Spanish MDG Achievement Fund, a partnership among 9 UN organizations and 11 Chinese ministries that addresses climate change policy and mitigation, vulnerability assessment and adaptation actions. Coordinated by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and implemented by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) and the China Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), the project aims to contribute to the adaptation of vulnerable communities to climate change by promoting actions at different levels, from farmers to national authorities

UNAPCAEM, a recipient of Spanish MDG Achievement funds, was invited to attend the project’s International Workshop on Climate-resilient and Environmentally Sound Agricultural Production from 16-17 April 2011 in Beijing, China. The workshop aims to promote cooperation and exchanges among international and Chinese experts for the formulation and development of agricultural technologies and regional strategies for climate resilient and environmentally sound agricultural production; Share experience and output of C-PESAP.
