4th Regional Forum on Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization in Asia and the Pacific
- Leading the Way for Climate-smart Agriculture through Machinery and Practices

 23-25 November 2016, Hanoi, Vietnam
 
This synthesis report comprises of the proceedings of the 4th Regional Forum on Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization in Asia and the Pacific, held on 23-25 November 2016 in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was prepared by a team at the Centre of Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (CSAM) under the overall guidance of Dr. Li Yutong, Head of CSAM. The presentations and speeches were provided by participants and speakers of the forum.

 

 

  Status of Straw Management in Asia-Pacific and Options for Integrated Straw Management  
Following up on the outcomes of the 4th Regional Forum on Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization in Asia and the Pacific of CSAM held in Nov. 2016 in Hanoi, Vietnam, and for strengthening CSAM¡¯s efforts to promote climate-smart agriculture/agricultural mechanization, a dedicated initiative on Integrated Straw Management in Asia-Pacific is being pursued by CSAM to address the shared issue of straw burning faced by many member countries. The research paper is aimed to understand the status of straw management in three sub-regions, namely, East Asia, South Asia and Southeast Asia, to collect the available and proven practices/technologies of straw management in member countries, and to make an action plan for pilot interventions of integrated straw management in China, India, and Vietnam

 

 

3rd Regional Forum on Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization in Asia and the Pacific
- Human Resource Development for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization

This synthesis report comprises of the proceedings of the 3rd Regional Forum on Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization in Asia and the Pacific, held on 9-11 December 2015 in Manila, the Philippines. It has been prepared by a team at the Centre of Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (CSAM) under the overall guidance of Zhao Bing, former Head of CSAM, Katinka Weinberger, former Officer in Charge of CSAM, Li Yutong, Head of CSAM. The original presentations and speeches were provided by the respective participants/speakers.  

 

2nd Regional Forum on Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization in Asia and the Pacific - Enabling Environment for Custom Hiring of Agricultural Machinery
This synthesis report is the proceedings of the 2nd Regional Forum on Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization in Asia and the Pacific, held on 9-11 September 2014 in Serpong, Indonesia. It is prepared under the overall guidance of Zhao Bing, Head of CSAM, and with the collaboration of the CSAM team.
